Following are a couple of non-park sponsored events we thought you might be interested in.

Westward Ho!

Circle the wagons and listen to a story about an important part of our country's western development. Author Frank Tortorich will be the featured speaker at the Cameron Park Community Center, 2502 Country Club Drive, Cameron Park, CA 95682 (next to the Cameron Park Library) on September 15 from 1-3 pm.

Joss House Museum Fall Bus Trip

The Joss House Museum in Auburn is sponsoring a bus trip on Sunday, October 22 as a fundraiser for the museum. The bus will depart from Nevada St. Placer County Domes/Library parking lot in Auburn at 8 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. The tour will visit the Oroville Chinese Temple & Museum and the Bok Kai Temple in Marysville. Participants will enjoy a Chinese luncheon at China Moon.
